Evgeny Choinzonov, Vladimir Chernov, and Vyacheslav Ryabov were awarded diplomas as Honorary Professors of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

During the visit, the Tomsk NRMC scientists delivered presentations at the Sino-Russian Forum on Intelligent Biomaterials and Medical Diagnostics & Therapy Technologies, which brought together over 100 participants. The Cancer Research Institute showcased its developments in reconstructive plastic surgery for head and neck tumors and shared its experience in creating innovative radiopharmaceuticals for cancer diagnosis and treatment. The Cardiology Research Institute presented the results of its biomedical research into modern treatments for myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock.

The Tomsk NRMC delegation also toured the largest in China Nanjing People's Hospital and Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital (Jiangsu Province).

Furthermore, working meetings were held with the staff of the State Key Laboratory of Flexible Electronics (SKLFE). A cooperation agreement for joint scientific activities with the SKLFE was signed in September 2025. The goal of this partnership is to acquire new fundamental knowledge in biomedicine and conduct interdisciplinary research, which will undoubtedly contribute to improving the quality of medical care, particularly in oncology and cardiology, and enhance approaches to patient prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.

"The visit of the Tomsk NRMC delegation to Nanjing took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere and allowed us to learn about the work of the SKLFE scientific team, as well as the main activities of the clinical departments at Nanjing People's Hospital and Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital. We had the opportunity to showcase our innovative developments in oncology, nuclear medicine, and cardiology. The mutual exchange of experience with our colleagues was invaluable for identifying prospects for further collaboration," said Evgeny Choinzonov, Head of the Cancer Research Institute, Tomsk NRMC, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"We held detailed discussions with Professor Wang, Head of the State Key Laboratory of Flexible Electronics, and other Chinese colleagues on future areas of collaboration. We identified promising projects for joint fundamental and applied scientific research," commented Vladimir Chernov.
