Brief Biography
Maria M. Gavrilenko graduated with honors from the Medico-biological Faculty of the Siberian State Medical University with a degree in Medical Biochemistry in 2021. She studied at the postgraduate school of the Tomsk NRMC in the specialty "genetics" from 2021 to 2024. Since 2022 she has been a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Genomic Identification of the Research Institute of Medical Genetics. She successfully completed two retraining programs at the Tomsk State University (bioinformatics; interpreter in the field of professional communications) in 2024.

Genomics and transcriptomics of multifactorial diseases, evolutionary genetics, population genetics, alternative splicing

Awards
Maria M. Gavrilenko is a Laureate of the Tomsk Oblast Prize in Education, Science, Health and Culture (2021).
She is a laureate of the competition of young scientists in the contest of the VI All-Russian scientific and practical seminar "Reproductive potential of Russia: Siberian readings" (1st place, 2022); as well as the competition of young scientists in the contest of the 14th International School of Young Scientists "Systems Biology and Bioinformatics" (2nd place, 2023).
