Brief Biography

She successfully completed the Master's degree from Tomsk State University (Department of Cytology and Genetics) in 2005. Lyudmila has been working on the staff of the Mental Health Research Institute since 2005. She defended her Ph.D. thesis “Hormonal status, genetic polymorphism, and motivation-need traits in mental adaptation and maladaptation” in the specialties “Physiology” and “Pathological Physiology”. In December 2024, Lyudmila received the academic degree “Doctor of Biological Sciences”, having defended her dissertation on the topic “Markers of neuroplasticity, neurodegeneration and immunoinflammation in affective disorders: pathobiological patterns and predictive potential” (specialty “Psychiatry and Narcology” (biological sciences).

Research Interests

The main works of Levchuk L.A. are associated with the study of neurohumoral regulation and molecular genetics of mental disorders, incl. mood disorders.
