Brief Biography
Elena Viktorovna in 2009 graduated from the Biological Institute of Tomsk State University with a degree in Biology. Since 2008, she has been enrolled as a junior researcher, and from 2013 to the present, she has been working as a researcher at the Addictive States Department of the Mental Health Research Institute of the Tomsk National Research Medical Center. In 2012, she defended her dissertation for the degree of candidate of biological sciences in the specialties ‘Pharmacology, clinical pharmacology’, ‘Pathological physiology’.
Research Interests
At present, scientific research by E.V. Epimakhova is aimed at searching for biomarkers of mental disorders, as well as studying the properties of lithium organic compounds, promising for the creation of import-substituting drugs.
Achievements, awards, and grants
Laureate of the competition for young scientists of the Russian Society of Psychiatrists, XV Congress of Psychiatrists of Russia, (2010, Moscow); "The best work of a young candidate of sciences" in the journal "Issues of Narcology" (2019); winner of the CDE Grant 33th ECNP Congress Virtual (2020), winner of the competition of scientific works of the All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists in memory of Academician of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences A.V. Snezhnevsky (2020, Moscow); She was awarded institute diplomas in honor of the day of the medical worker (2012) for impeccable and many years of work in healthcare, a diploma from the Tomsk National Research Medical Center (2019), gratitude from the Tomsk National Research Medical Center for conscientious work and professionalism (2018), gratitude from the Administration of the city Tomsk (2021).Epimakhova E.V. reported and discussed the results of research at conferences of various levels and took part in 5 research projects with the support of Russian scientific foundations (RFBR, RNF, FTP).
