Gleb N. Biography

In 2001 year graduated from the medical faculty of the Siberian State Medical University (Tomsk). In 2001 he entered the postgraduate Research institute of Pharmacology (Tomsk). From 2003 to 2009 years held positions: researcher, senior researcher, leading scientific researcher of Laboratory of pathophysiology and experimental therapy Research institute of Pharmacology (Tomsk). PhD (2003), Doctor of Medicine (2006), Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences (2016). 2009 – Present: Scientific Secretary of Goldberg research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, 2016 – Present: Head of the laboratory of pathophysiology and experimental therapy of Goldberg research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine.

Scientific interests

Gleb N. Zyuz`kov - specialist in the field of Pharmacology, pathophysiology and regenerative medicine. The main focus of his research is to study the role of progenitor cells of various classes in the development and resolution of pathological processes and develop drugs for regenerative medicine.
Gleb N. Zyuz`kov (co-authored with A. Dygai and V. Zhdanov) proposed «Concept of failure and insolvency regeneration mechanisms of deep reserve "and" Pharmacological strategy for regenerative medicine "(Awarded International award Elsevier "SciVal/Scopus Award Russia 2012" "For creating a new global scientific cluster", - based on analytical data service SciVal Spotlight).
Developed drugs for regenerative medicine on the basis of selected alkaloids of natural origin-regulators of functions of endogenous progenitor cells and activity of intracellular signaling molecules (twice (2013, 2015) has been supported by grants of the President of the Russian Federation (МD-893.2013.7 and МD-3096.2015.7 ). Developed a semisynthetic alkaloid Z77-new agonist of fibroblast growth factor receptors having significant neuroprotective and regenerative activity permitted toxic represents a promising drug candidate for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
He is the author of a new direction of targeted therapy in regenerative medicine -" The strategy of pharmacological control of intracellular signal transduction in regeneratively competent cells», which use as selective "pharmacological targets" individual intracellular molecules of signal transduction of stem cells (Patent RU № 2599289 "TISSUE REGENERATION STIMULATING AGENTS, from 10.10.2016-patented the concept of application of modifiers of activity of intracellular signaling molecules in regeneratively competent cells to stimulate regeneration of organs and tissues). On models of various diseases (skin wound, cirrhosis, ischemic stroke, cytostatic myelosupression, diabetes) was demonstrated the possibility to use pharmacological substances-modifiers (as activators and inhibitors) activity of PI3K, PKB, PKC, NF-KB, MAPK, JAK and STAT, cAMP, PKA and CREB in endogenous progenitor cells of tissues affected by pathologic process, as drugs of stimulating the regeneration.
He is the author of more than 230 scientific works. «The methodical recommendations on the study of specific activity drugs for regenerative medicine" and" The methodical recommendations on the study of haemostimulation activity of pharmacological substances" were written by Zyuz`kov G.N. They were published in The Guide to conduct preclinical studies of new drugs (The Health Ministry of the Russian Federation (2013)) - is one of the basic national standarts of pharmacological studies in Russia. Author of 56 patents, two of which are included in the lists of Rospatent "100 best inventions of Russia" (2007, 2015). Under the leadership of G.N. Zyuz`kov 3 Ph.d. theses have been prepared.

Performed under his leadership and with his participation research supported by a number of State and private funds, including grants of the President of the Russian Federation (2013, 2015); Russian Foundation for Basic Research grants (2000, 2001, 2009, 2018), domestic medicine Foundation (2006), contracts of the Federal target program "PHARMA 2020" and Federal target program "Scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff of innovative Russia" at 2009-2013". The European research society and the European Academy of natural sciences (Germany) Zjuzkovu G.n. was awarded the title of "Honorary scientist of Europe" (2008), awarded the medal to them. R. Koch. Zyuz′kov G.N. is: auditor of the Tomsk branch of «National society for regenerative medicine» (Russia), a member of «Russian scientific society of Pharmacology» and «Tomsk Professors Society» (Russia).
