Brief Biography

Safonova Elena Andreevna in 2008 graduated from the Medical and Biological Faculty of the Siberian State Medical University with a degree in biophysics. In 2008 she enrolled in full-time postgraduate study at the Institute of Physics and Mathematics them. E.D. After graduating, she defended her thesis on "Plant polysaccharides as correctors for cytostatic therapy of experimental tumors." Since 2011, he has been a research assistant at the Oncopharmacology Laboratory of the Goldberg Research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, Tomsk NRMC.

Research Interests

In the field of scientific interests E.A. Safonova is studying the possibility of using natural origin drugs and biologically active substances isolated from them in the complex therapy of tumors, determining their role in the correction mechanisms of the antitumor and toxic effects of cytostatics and in increasing the antitumor resistance of the organism.

Achievements, awards, and grants

EA Safonova is the winner of the Tomsk Region Prize in the field of education, science, health care and culture for high achievements in the field of education and science, having an effective influence on the development of the economy and social sphere of the Tomsk Region (2012).
Participated in the implementation of the federal program “Development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020 and beyond,” and the State contract with the Federal Agency for Science and Innovations of the Russian Federation (2009, 2012) as co-executor. Currently he is a participant in R & D works on the topic 054 “Development of pharmacological preparations based on the natural resources of Siberia and the Far East and the study of the mechanisms of their action”.
Safonova E.A. is a co-author of the patents: “An agent that reduces the hematotoxicity of cytostatic drugs” (No. 2397774) and “Means that increase the antitumor and antimetastatic activity of cytostatic drugs” (No. 2471496).
