Brief Biography

Anastasia Ligacheva in 2006 graduated from the magistracy of the Biology and Soil Faculty of Tomsk State University with a degree in biology and was accepted as a laboratory assistant in the Laboratory of Immunopharmacology of Goldberg Research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine. In 2007 she was transferred to the position of junior researcher of the Laboratory of Immunopharmacology. In 2008 she was accepted in full-time postgraduate course in the Laboratory of Immunopharmacology. In 2010, Anastasia ahead of time defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of biological sciences in the specialty "pharmacology, clinical pharmacology". From 2010 to the present, he has been working as a scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Immunopharmacology of Goldberg Research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine of Tomsk National Research Medical Center.

Research Interests

The scientific activity of Anastasia Ligacheva is aimed at studying substances of natural and synthetic origin, which have immunomodulating and antiallergic properties, in particular, water-soluble vegetable polyaccharides, their fractionated substances isolated from Siberian plants, as well as complex high-molecular compounds of natural origin ‑ humic acids. The effects of substances on the immune system is investigated at the organism level (models of experimental Th1 and Th2 types of immune response and local inflammation) and at the cellular level ‑ the study of the mechanisms of activation effects of substances on macrophage cells (the study of arginine-specific enzymes, cytokines production, the role of key signaling molecules) with the prospect of developing drugs based on the studied substances for the correction of pathological states associated with impaired immune system functions. Anastasia Ligacheva is the co-author of 59 publications, has 6 patents for invention. The materials of her research are presented at regional and All-Russian scientific conferences.

Achievements, awards, and grants

In 2010 Anastasia took the first place in the competition of young specialists of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in the nomination "The best postgraduate student of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences". In 2013, she became a winner in the competition for the scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation for young scientists carrying out promising research and development on priority areas of modernization of the Russian economy. Anastasia Ligacheva participates in studies of immunotoxic, immunotropic, antiallergic and allergenic properties of a number of medicinal substances, completing documentation on the GLP system, in the framework of the federal target program "Development of the medical and pharmaceutical industry of the Russian Federation for the period up to 2020 and further perspective". In 2016, for her contribution to the development of scientific research, Anastasia was encouraged by gratitude from the Council of Rectors of Tomsk Region universities for fruitful work in the field of promising research and development in priority areas of modernization of the Russian economy and active participation in conducting research in accordance with GLP principles.
