Brief Biography
A. A. Garganeeva graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Tomsk Medical Institute with the specialization “General Medicine”. Then she worked in a military hospital in city Uzhur, Krasnojarsk region as attending physician of The Infectious Disease Department (1979-1981), then as general practitioner in the Tomsk medical sanitary station №2 (1981-1982). Since 1982 she has been working in Cardiology Research Institute (as a junior, senior and leading research worker). In 1989 she defended doctoral thesis titled "Reorganization Of Microcirculation, Intracardiac and Pulmonary Hemodynamics in the Process of Patients Rehabilitation with Myocardial Infarction" for an academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences; in 1999 she defended doctoral thesis titled "Microcirculation and Transcapillary Oxygen Exchange in Patients with a Myocardium Infarction and Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting." for an academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. In 2001 she has been awarded with the title professor in the specialty “Cardiology”. Since 2006 she has been working as the head of General Clinical Cardiology and Epidemiology of Cardiovascular Diseases Department in Cardiology Research Institute.
Research Interests
A. A. Garganeeva is the author of more than 450 research works including 2 monographs as a co-author and 3 chapters in monographs, 8 copyright certificates and patents for inventions. Under her supervision were defended 10 Candidate`s and 1 Doctoral theses.
The main directions of A. A. Garganeeva scientific research are connected with the studying of epidemiology of acute coronary disasters among the Tomsk residents. In order to develop and introduce innovative methods of prevention of adverse outcomes of acute myocardial infarction, including sudden cardiac death fundamental mechanisms of their development on the basis of interdisciplinary complexing (cardiology, epidemiology, genetics, pathophysiology, pathological anatomy, computer science) with the translation of the results of molecular-cellular and gene diagnostics into clinical practice under the control of a unique instrument epidemiological monitoring - "Register of acute myocardial infarction" are being developed under A. A. Garganeeva supervision. The result of these studies is development and implementation of multicomponent personified models of cardiovascular risk stratification complications in practical healthcare.

A. A. Garganeeva is a member of Russian Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, board member of Society of specialists in cardiac failure, chairman of the section of the All-Russian public organization "Russian Society cardiosomatic rehabilitation and secondary prevention", a member of science and
dissertational councils of Cardiology Research Institute. For long-standing science and therapeutic activity, A. A. Garganeeva was awarded with state and public awards: the Certificate of Merit from Tomsk administration “For the great personal contribution to the development of medical science and specialized cardiological assistance to the population of the city and region", the Certificate of Merit from Tomsk region department of Health, Medal in Celebration of the 400th Anniversary of the City of Tomsk - for services to the city, the Certificate of Merit from State Duma of Tomsk region, the Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Healthcare and Social Development of the Russian Federation, the Certificate of Merit from the governor of the Tomsk region, Tomsk region medal for the contribution to the development of cardiology in Siberia, Tomsk region medal for achievements.
A. A. Garganeeva is the winner of the contest of Tomsk region in the sphere of education, science, health and culture (2004).
