Brief Biography
In 1994 she graduated with honors from The Department of General Medicine, Siberian State Medical University. In 1995 she finished clinical internship, in 1997 – clinical residency, in 2000 – clinical internship in the specialty "Internal disease” at the faculty therapy department with the course of cardiology of Siberian State Medical University. In 2001-2003 she was a cardiologist of The Atherosclerosis and Chronic Ischemic Heart Disease Department of Cardiology Research Institute. In 2003 - 2005 she worked as an ultrasonic medical investigation specialist of The Atherosclerosis and Chronic Ischemic Heart Disease Department, since 2005 to 2016 she has been working there concurrently. In 2005 - 2016 she has been working as research worker and since 2015 – as a senior research worker of the Atherosclerosis and Chronic Ischemic Heart Disease Department. Since December 2015 she has been performing duties of deputy director for scientific work of Cardiology Research Institute. Since November 2016 – she confirmed appointment as a deputy director for scientific work of Cardiology Research Institute. Since January 2016 A. A. Boshhenko has been performing duties of head of atherosclerosis and chronic ischemic heart disease department.
In 2000 A. A. Boshhenko defended doctoral thesis titled "The Effectiveness of Propranolol, Metoprolol and Amlodipine in Stable Angina Pectoris in Combination with Arterial Hypotension and Normal Arterial Pressure” for an academic degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. In 2014 she defended doctoral thesis titled "Complex Non-Invasive Assessment of Coronary Blood Flow and Coronary Reserve in Patients with Ischemic Heart Disease” for an academic degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.
Since 2016 she has been a member of the Academic Council of Cardiology Research Institute, Tomsk National Research Medical Center. She is also a member of Scientific Council of Tomsk National Research Medical Center.
Research Interests
Main scientific competencies: ultrasound and functional diagnostics, physiology and pathophysiology of the cardiovascular system, atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease, coronary blood flow, coronary reserve, myocardial perfusion and microcirculation, myocardial ischemia.
Main clinical competencies: clinical cardiology, electrocardiography, stress tests in cardiology, echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, stress-echocardiography, ultrasound examination of blood vessels and internal organs, daily monitoring of blood pressure.
A. A. Boshhenko is a well-known Russian specialist in the field of ultrasound and functional diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases. A. A. Boshhenko and co-authors developed priority areas, dedicated to the role of the ascending aorta in pathogenesis of coronary insufficiency in patients with angina pectoris, transthoracic and transesophageal dopplerographic evaluation of coronary blood flow and reserve, Doppler visualization of tissue in the quantitative evaluation of myocardial ischemia in stress-echocardiography. She is the author of 170 research papers, including 2 monographs, a chapter in international monography, two chapters in Russian monographs and manuals for doctors.

A. A. Boshhenko is a member of Russian Society of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology, The Russian Association of Ultrasonic diagnostic professionals in medicine, European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, and International Society for Cardiovascular Ultrasound.
Achievements, awards, and grants
In 2000 A. A. Boshhenko was acknowledged as the best young cardiologist in Russia (II National Congress "Man and medicine "). She was awarded with the Certificate of Merit of Department from Health Administration of Tomsk region (2005), the Certificate of Merit from Administration of Tomsk region (2015). A. A. Boshhenko is laureate of the Tomsk region contest in in the field of education, science, healthcare and culture (2009).
