Brief Biography

A.A. Medvedeva graduated from the Siberian State Medical University with a degree in medicine in 2002. She was employed at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, Oncology Research Institute of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences as a radiologist. In 2009 she successfully defended her thesis titled "Clinical use of radionuclide studies in the complex diagnosis and evaluation of the effectiveness of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for breast cancer." She has the highest qualification category in the field of Radiology. In 2014, she completed her residency training in the specialty of Radiology. Since 2010, she has been working at the Nuclear Medicine Department, Cancer Research Institute, Tomsk National Research Medical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences as a Senior Researcher. In 2021 she defended the DSc thesis "Integrated use of nuclear medicine techniques for the assessment of cancer prevalence and therapy monitoring”.

Research Interests

Her main research interests mainly focus on the use of nuclear medicine methods for cancer detection and the development of innovative radiopharmaceuticals for oncology. Her current research deals with the study of clinical use of radiopharmaceuticals for the detection of tumors of the breast and larynx, as well as with preoperative assessment of malignant neoplasms.

A.A. Medvedev is the author of more than 150 published works, including a chapter in the National Manual on Radionuclide Diagnosis, Methodological Recommendations for Practical Physicians on Mammotscintigraphy. Has of more than 20 patents of the Russian Federation, 1 Eurasian patent. The results of scientific research are regularly presented by A.A.Medvedeva at foreign and Russian congresses.

She wos  the executor of the Federal special-purpose program "Development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry of the Russian Federation for the period until 2020 and beyond" on the projects: "Preclinical studies of a new lymphotropic radiopharmaceutical based on technetium-99m gamma-alumina labeled" (GC No. 16.N08. 12.1011), "Preclinical studies of radiopharmaceutical on the basis of labeled 99mTc glucose derivative for radionuclide diagnostics of oncological diseases" (GC No. 14.N08.11.0033), "Preclinical Studies of a radiopharmaceutical based on technetium-99m-labeled doxorubicin for scintigraphic imaging of malignant neoplasms and a prognosis of the effectiveness of chemotherapy "(GC No. 14.N08.11.0034), "Preclinical studies of radiopharmaceutical preparation based on 99mTc-labeled recombinant target molecules for radionuclide diagnostics of oncological diseases with Her-2 / neu overexpression" (GK No. 14.N08.11.0163), "Preclinical studies of a radiopharmaceutical based on labeled 99mTc octreotide for radionuclide diagnostics of neuroendocrine tumors "(GK 14.N08.11.0060).
