Vita

Natalia A. Vasilyeva in 1976 graduated from the medical faculty of the Tomsk Medical Institute with a degree in medical medicine. In 1982 she graduated from clinical residency at the Department of Psychiatry of the Tomsk State Medical Institute. Since 1982, she worked at the Mental Health Research Institute as a junior researcher at the Department of Epidemiology. In 1987 she defended her thesis “Clinical-epidemiological characteristics of schizophrenia in traditional and economically rapidly developing regions of Siberia” (supervisor: MD, Prof E.D. Krasik).

Since 1988 – senior researcher of the Epidemiology Department.

In 1992 she was awarded the title of senior research fellow in the specialty “Psychiatry”.

Since 2014 - Senior Researcher, Addictive States Department, Mental Health Research Institute.

Since 2015 she is a Head of the Educational and Methodical Department of Mental Health Research Institute.

Area of scientific and clinical interests

The epidemiology of mental disorders, the epidemiology of non-psychotic mental disorders, non-psychotic mental disorders in childhood, the epidemiological aspects of non-psychotic disorders in the Siberian region, clinical and social psychiatry.

Achievements, Awards, Grants

In 2001 she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Department of Health of the Tomsk Region, in 2006 she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, in 2008 she was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation for health services and many years of hard work, and in 2016 she was awarded a Letter of Appreciation of Administration of the city of Tomsk in connection with the 35th anniversary of the institute, in 2017 a portrait was placed on the Board of Honor of the institute.
