Tamara P. Brief Biography
She graduated from the Biology-and-Soil Faculty of Tomsk State University (1965) with a degree in Biology (qualification Biology, Physiology and Biochemistry); she worked for 23 years at Tomsk Research Institute of Vaccines and Serums, from 1981 to now works at Mental Health Research Institute.
In 1976 she defended her thesis for the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences, in 1993 - the dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Biological Sciences: “The state of the immune system and the role of immune mechanisms in the polymorphism of clinical manifestations of schizophrenia” (approved by the HAC RF on 06.05.1994); Professor of Allergology and Immunology (decision of the Higher Attestation Commission of January 4, 2002).
Positions held at the Scientific Research Institute of Mental Health:
Member of the Scientific Council of Mental Health Research Institute of Tomsk NRMC, since 2016 - member of the Academic Council of the Tomsk NRMC.
Research Interests
Clinical psychoneuroimmunology, pathophysiology, biological psychiatry and narcology; study of the role of immune mechanisms in the formation of mental adaptation/maladaptation, in the patterns of clinical dynamics and treatment of mental disorders and dependence diseases; development of methods for the diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation of the mentally ill persons.
Under the guidance and consultation of Professor TP Vetlugina 6 doctoral and 9 Ph.D. theses were defended.
