Brief Biography

In 1999, she graduated from the Medico-Biological Faculty of the Siberian State Medical University, Tomsk (SSMU). From 1999 to 2002, she had a postgraduate study in Research Institute of Pharmacology (Tomsk) and got a PhD. From 2002 to 2009, she held a position of a researcher of Laboratory of Pathophysiology and Experimental Therapy, Research Institute of Pharmacology (Tomsk). In 2009 she got DSc degree. From 2009 till present, she is a Senior Researcher of Laboratory of Pathophysiology and Experimental Therapy, Research Institute of Pharmacology.

Scientific interests

Tatiana Yu. Poliakova is a specialist in the field of pharmacology, oncology, pathophysiology and regenerative medicine. One of her scientific interests is the study of myelotoxicity of modern chemotherapy regimens in patients with different types of cancer and dissection of the mechanisms underlying their hematological effects. Her current research focuses on the study of the role of progenitor cells of various classes in the development and resolution of pathological processes as well as the development of drugs for regenerative medicine. T. Yu. Poliakova is the author of 120 scientific works, «The methodical recommendations on the study of specific activity drugs for regenerative medicine" and "The methodical recommendations on the study of haemostimulation activity of pharmacological substances". She has 14 patents for inventions. Under the leadership of T. Polyakova, 1 dissertation for PhD degree was defended.

Achievements, awards, grants

Winner of Tomsk Region Competition in Education and Science (2003), Tomsk Region Award in the field of education, science, health and culture (2010). Participation in the Federal target program "PHARMA 2020" and Federal target program "Scientific and scientific-pedagogical staff of innovative Russia" at 2009-2013", Russian Foundation for Basic Research grants (2009, 2018). She is a member of Russian Scientific Cociety of Pharmacology.
