Vitaly A. Markovich graduated from Siberian State Medical University in 2011. He completed his residency in surgery in 2012 and in oncology in 2015 at Siberian State Medical University. Since 2015, he has been working at the Thoracic-Abdominal Department of the Cancer Research Institute as a Researcher.
His major research interests are associated with the development and clinical application of combined modality treatment for gastric cancer using new medical technologies. His research focuses on the optimization of treatment using neoadjuvant/adjuvant chemotherapy and palliative surgery for metastatic gastric cancer. His current research also includes the development of approaches to personified treatment, based on the search for molecular genetic markers specific to gastric cancer.
Dr. Markovich completed his medical internships in leading clinics in Russia. He provides active advisory assistance to cancer patients living in the city of Tomsk, Tomsk region, and other regions of Siberia and the Russian Far East.
