Cancer Research Institute is a subdivision of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “Tomsk National Research Medical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences” (Tomsk NRMC)
Founded on June 29, 1979
Reorganized into Tomsk National Research Medical Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences on July 1, 2016
Tomsk Cancer Research Institute is the only comprehensive cancer research institution in Siberia and the Russian Far East. It chairs the Problem Commission on Oncology of Interagency Scientific Council for Medical Problems of Siberia and the Far East. Tomsk Cancer Research Institute provides scientific and methodological guidance for cancer institutions in the region on issues of clinical oncology and the introduction of scientific achievements into public health practice.
Objectives
Implementation of basic and applied (including clinical) research aimed at acquiring knowledge in the field of oncology, contributing to the preservation and promotion of health, development of health and medical sciences, and training of highly qualified research and medical staff.
